I escaped,
I know I shoudn't have,
but I did,
makes me feel like shit,
but I did,
I had to.
As I run,
I turn around,
the truth depicts itself,
a long road,
an empty road,
nothing before me,
no one after me.
I look ahead,
an empty road,
nothing to look forward to,
no open arms.
As I hope,
it tricks me,
it comes,
it goes,
it stays to feed on remnants,
remnants of consequences,
leaves when I snap back to reality,
to the truth,where it all hurts.

I look at him,
The way he scratches his ears,
The way he pushes his hair,
The way he looks down,
The way he looks back up,
The way he cuts only the fingernails of his right hand,
The way he lets me look at him,
I love every way.
I remember him,
I remember looking at him,
I remember not speaking to him,
I remember wanting to speak to him,
I remember not being able to speak to him,
I remember staring at him,
Bluntly,
Blatantly.
I remember not knowing if he had noticed,
I remember him not telling me to stop,
I remember wanting to share the simple,
Strong feeling,
I look at him.
I had him,
He had me.
He completed me,
I failed to complete him.
My time was up,
Karma unveiled itself,
I’m not his,

Though I wish otherwise.

Only at his shadow,
